About Our Club

Our History

Our Club was founded in February of 1960 by twenty founding members. The Club has participated in many fundraisers and community events during its existence. We have supported a variety of community causes, including Little League, 4-H, Boy Scouts, and scholarships for seniors at Chesterton High School, and international causes, such as Polio Plus and world-wide education through Paul Harris Foundation exchange programs.

Our Community

The Duneland area is comprised of three separate towns, Chesterton, Porter, and Burns Harbor. All three communities have access to Lake Michigan and its dunes. In fact, this is where the community gets its unofficial name. We serve as home to both a national park and a state park focused on the unique beauty and ecosystem of the Dunes. Our club is located on the Southern shore of Lake Michigan, within an hour’s drive of Chicago. We are very close to Illinois and Michigan, and the Duneland area serves as a vacation destination for people from throughout the Midwestern United States.
